Reflect, Reconnect, Renew Together

You Are Invited: The High Holy Days 5787

Benei Avraham — Dallas, Texas

Shalom, mishpacha and friends!

The month of Elul has begun, the shofar is calling us to teshuvah, and the Yamim Nora'im — the Days of Awe — are drawing near. We warmly invite you to join Benei Avraham as we gather for teshuvah, prayer, and rejoicing before HaShem through this whole holy season, from Rosh Hashanah through Simchat Torah.

As is our custom, we will hold Erev services the night before each Yom Tov. All Erev services begin at 7:00 PM, and all morning services begin at 10:00 AM (Central Time).

Rosh Hashanah — Yom Teruah
• Erev Rosh Hashanah: Friday, September 11 — 7:00 PM
• Rosh Hashanah, Day 1: Shabbat, September 12 — 10:00 AM
• Rosh Hashanah, Day 2: Sunday, September 13 — 10:00 AM

Come crown HaShem as King as we enter the new year 5787 together. Since the first day falls on Shabbat, the shofar will be sounded on the second day, Sunday, September 13.

Yom Kippur — The Day of Atonement
• Erev Yom Kippur / Kol Nidrei: Sunday, September 20 — 7:00 PM
• Yom Kippur: Monday, September 21 — 10:00 AM

The Shabbat of Shabbats. We will fast, pray, and seek the face of HaShem together in services throughout the day, concluding with Ne'ilah and the final shofar blast. Wear white if you are able, and remember to seek reconciliation with one another before the fast begins.

Sukkot — The Season of Our Rejoicing
• Erev Sukkot: Friday, September 25 — 7:00 PM
• Sukkot, Day 1: Shabbat, September 26 — 10:00 AM
• Sukkot, Day 2: Sunday, September 27 — 10:00 AM
• Chol HaMoed: Monday, September 28 – Friday, October 2

Camp with us! We will be camping on our property for the entire week of Sukkot through Shmini Atzeret. Bring your tent, dwell in the sukkah, take up the lulav and etrog, and share meals, worship, and fellowship under the stars. All are welcome for the whole week or for as many days as you can join — this is truly z'man simchateinu, the season of our rejoicing!

Shmini Atzeret & Simchat Torah
• Erev Shmini Atzeret: Friday, October 2 — 7:00 PM
• Shmini Atzeret: Shabbat, October 3 — 10:00 AM
• Simchat Torah: Sunday, October 4 — 10:00 AM

We will linger one more day in His presence, pray for rain, and dance as we complete the Torah and begin it anew.

To RSVP, text message (469) 608-9944.

Whether you can join us for every service or just one, there is no better time to be together than the High Holy Days. Bring your family, bring a friend, and come ready to return to HaShem with all your heart.

L'shanah tovah tikatevu v'techatemu — may you be inscribed and sealed for a good year!
